ACROWRX - Contest Manager

This page describes the Contest Manager workspace for contest organizers and chief judges. Open it from your Personal page → Manage Contest, or go to /contest_admin?contest=<contest-id>. You must have can manage contests enabled on your ACROWRX account.
Layout overview
Desktop (wide screens)
The page uses resizable panels:
- Left sidebar — select contest, dates, go live, public link, participant emails
- Top row — Participants | Judges | Programs
- Bottom row — Tables (pilots and judges progress)
Mobile (narrow screens)
Five tabs: Contest, Participants, Judges, Programs, Tables
The selected contest is stored in the URL (?contest=) and in browser local storage so it persists between visits.
Creating and configuring a contest
Create a new contest
Use Create Contest in the sidebar:

Contest icon
Upload a custom icon for the contest card (optional).
Edit dates
After creation, change End join, End upload, and End judge from the sidebar.
Delete a contest
Available only while the contest is not live. Once live, the contest cannot be deleted and programs cannot be removed.
Programs (sequences)
Open the Programs panel to attach competition sequences:
- Add program — pick from sequences you have uploaded to ACROWRX
- Each program card shows category/class and links to the underlying sequence
⚠️ - WARNING
Add every program before going live. After going live, programs cannot be deleted.
Participants (pilots)
Private contests

Approve or remove pilots as needed.
Public contests
Shows Joined pilots only.
Judges

For each judge you can:
- Approve / remove access
- Mark Head judge
- Set category scope — limit which program categories that judge may score (e.g. Sportsman only)
Going live and publishing results
Make contest live
Make Contest Live in the sidebar:
- Requires at least one program
- After this, you cannot delete the contest or remove programs
- Pilots can upload during the upload window; judges can score during the judging window
Publish contest results
After the upload window closes, Publish Contest Results makes aggregated results visible. You can Unpublish temporarily if needed.
Public contest viewer (share link)
Create a public read-only link for spectators:
- In the sidebar, use Public contest link
- Create link — generates
/contest/shared/<token> - Copy or Open the link
- Revoke to disable the link
The public viewer includes:
- Video tab — judge-view playback with figure-window sync (when pilots placed figure markers), HUD, lower third
- Leaderboard tab — pilots, flights, raw and FPS scores, sortable columns
📌 - TIP
Contest public links also appear on the pilot Personal page under Shared Links (read-only note that the link was created in Contest Manager).
Participant emails
Copy participant emails exports pilot and/or judge email lists for briefings and reminders.

📌 - TIP
Encourage pilots to place figure markers on the timeline before judging. Judges then get Review mode (play one figure at a time while recording remarks). See Figure start markers.
Judges table

| Delete score | Remove saved score so the judge must re-score |
Filter: Check flights with zero score (?zeros=1 in URL) — focuses on hard-zero or chief-judge review flights.
Manager score override
From the judges table, View / edit score opens the contest preview with manager score override:
- Judge view + Form A side by side (same layout as judging)
- Judge's original values struck through; manager edits in red
- Chief Judge Hard Zero confirmation per figure when applicable
- Absent (A) figure handling
- Save override — does not require judge playback guards
Use this for corrections, chief-judge review, or resolving zero-score workflows.
Tips for contest managers
- Add all programs before going live.
- Encourage pilots to place figure markers before judging.
- Set judge category scope early.
- Use the zero-score filter during chief-judge review.
- Create the public share link only when ready for spectators.
- Publish results after upload closes and score corrections are complete.
