ACROWRX - Analog-Digital Calibration

📢 - INFO

This page provides detailed information about how to calibrate control sensors installed on the ACROWRX data unit.

ACROWRX data unit ADC (Analog-Digital Converter)

The ACROWRX data unit, has inputs (channles) for up to 8 analog sensors. These sensors needs to output a signal between 0-3.3V. This feature in mainly used to include command position sensors to experimental airplanes.

Calibration

After complete the mechanical and electrical installation of the sensors, it is necessary to perform a calibration.

📌 - TIP

This calibration is saved inside your unit. Not inside the SD card.

  1. make sure your unit doesn't have a calibration. Swith on the unit, using a PC, connect to the ACROWRX Wi-Fi. Using your prefered browser, navigate to 192.168.4.1. On the configuration page, make sure the calibration table values are set to I=0, M=2048 and F=4095. If not, force them (all channels) to be these values and click on SAVE CONFIGURATION.

  2. Switch off the data unit.

  3. Place the controls of the airplane at: elevator - full forward, aileron - full left, rudder - full left. Swithc on the unit, wait for 30 second, switch off the unit.

  4. Place the controls of the airplane at: elevator - centered, aileron - centered, rudder - centered. Swithc on the unit, wait for 30 second, switch off the unit.

  5. Place the controls of the airplane at: elevator - full back, aileron - full right, rudder - full right. Swithc on the unit, wait for 30 second, switch off the unit.

  6. Switch on the unit one more time, using a PC, connect to the ACROWRX Wi-Fi. Using your prefered browser, navigate to 192.168.4.1. Using the file download table, download the three last files saved on your unit. Swithc off the data unit.

  7. Connect your computer to the internet and visit the ACROWRX Calibration Tool

  8. Load these three files to the correspondent filed and click SUBMIT.

  9. Copy the values displayed on the table.

  10. Switch your data unit on again and insert these values to the calibration table. Only the channels that have sensors coneected are necessary. Make sure you click on SAVE CONFIGURATION.

  11. Power cycle the data unit one more time.
